About Bettina G. Dee, MA, LMFT

I feel extremely fortunate to be practicing a profession that allows me to witness and facilitate remarkable courage and transformation in my clients every day. I cannot imagine a more awe-inspiring activity than that of helping people heal, grow, and find their path. I successfully help my clients with issues surrounding trauma and addiction, depression and anxiety, intimacy and trust, shame and creativity.

I have been doing this work for 30 years and am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Massachusetts (#11302-MH-MF) and in California (#LMFT25363). Originally trained to work with couples and families, I now treat mostly individuals, helping them to relate more effectively to others and to themselves. I am a certified IFS (Internal Family System) therapist and train other therapists in this model.

I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University West, San Francisco in 1985, and co-led the Way Home Community Counseling Center of the Bay Area. Then I (fka Bettina Bryant) built my independent private practice and became an EMDR practitioner in 1994. I moved to Cambridge, MA in 1998, and raised three children full time for six years. In 2004 I joined the Center for Integrative Healing, a leading trauma practice in Watertown, MA. I became an IFS therapist in 2008 and opened this private practice in Cambridge, MA.

  • AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy)
