I feel extremely fortunate to be practicing a profession which allows me to witness and facilitate remarkable courage and transformation in my clients every day.  I cannot imagine a more awe-inspiring activity than that of helping people heal.

I have been doing this work as a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT) in Massachusetts (1302) and California (MFC25363), with more than 20 years of experience.  Originally trained to work with relationship issues, I now see mostly individuals, helping them to relate more effectively to others as well as to themselves. 

I successfully help my clients heal issues with depression and anxiety, intimacy and trust, addictions, as well as feelings of shame and hopelessness.  I have conducted Assertiveness as well as Dating and Relating workshops, and I provide consultation and supervision to other therapists.

Over the years I have learned to use several techniques and approaches, but have had most success with the Internal Family Systems model (IFS).  I have received advanced level training in IFS (certified therapist) as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University West, San Francisco in 1985, and co-led the Way Home Community Counseling Centers of the Bay Area. Then I (fka Bettina Bryant) built my private practice and became an EMDR practitioner in 1994. I moved to Cambridge, Mass. in 1998, and raised three children full time for six years. In 2004 I reopened my practice in the Center for Integrative Healing, a leading trauma practice in Watertown, Massachusetts. I became an IFS therapist in 2006 and, in 2010, created an IFS practice focused on trauma therapy in Cambridge, MA.
